hey guys i aint dead (yet) LOL i've just been realllly busy in college


not cuz i'm doin really super hard work or anything LOL OTLLL its just cuz i'm COMMUTING to school and a lot of time is spent just WAITING around for class to start (cuz i come super early) or waiting to be picked up.. plus i have some huge breaks between my classes in my schedule! so at the end of the day i'm just exhauussted yaknow!


so COLLEGE has been.. interesting! to my disappointment it really isn't too different from highschool well i guess my school isn't.. especially the caf; it's so small!!!
in someways i expected a lot more lol.. well it HAS only been two weeks!



mm so far i learned a lot.. not really about art yet but about myself. how i need to improve A LOT.. i think i completly underestimated the program!! my first LIFEDRAWING class was brutal.. i think i'm one of the worst in the class for real !! being used to drawing stylized things so much i kept overrrrrr exaggerating proportions by accident and i still can't get them quite right! i need to learn how to DRAW and not just rely on photoshop to do my job..



on another note I LOVE my class .. pretty chill group of people 8D <33 woo go class A !!! (the animation program is like.. split into 5 different classes, A,B,C.etc.. we all get together during lectures though!)




hmm would anyone like to see my sheridan stuff here or should i just keep them separate???

Hey guys...
so a few days ago, my dad lost his job. he was laid off...








We all kind of expected it in a sense, our family i mean, because of the bad economy and plus because dad wasn't really getting along with his co-workers...(he ain't much of a "social" person) but still it came as a BIG shock ... that's about a good 85~90% of our income right there.



Honestly,i was devastated. i'm the type of person who's pretty cautious when it comes to life; i make sure i have enough money wherever i go, for anything i might need in that day + some more just in case of an emergency. I like knowing that i'm well prepared for whatever's to come.
and when dad broke the news.. a person like me went into panic-mode almost lol.. I imagined myself being homeless, not being able to afford school.. haha i'm pretty paranoid OTL
That night when i was about to sleep, i felt SO determined to change my ways; because well, i'm super lazy OTL especially when it comes to drawing ! I honestly wondered if it was even OKAY for me to continue having internet or satellite.. i just felt really guilty about everything . That night i considered a lot of things lol.. like leaving DA (big mistake i know but for some reason i always think leaving DA will somehow help me OTL)


but the funny thing is, if you look at our lifestyle, nothing's really changed .__.


...it's only been a few days now since the news, and the reality of our situation hasn't yet set in because we're continuing our habits! of course i'm guilty of it too lol watching tv.. nagging mom to buy icecream...We're still eating like we used to, driving around like we used to, buying groceries like we used to... and honestly it's kind of scary and comforting at the same time you know what i mean? but then i'm afraid it might later hit us like a brick if we don't start making changes soon .. but nobody likes change lol


despite this, i still WANT TO shop, i still want to go out and eat; for example, today we drove up to visit our brother who lives 4 hours away. Me and my bro are HUGE on eating in restaurants lol and even with KNOWING our own financial situation right now, we still pushed our parents into eating out OTL i know, we're TERRIBLE!!
were we being optimists about our situation or are we just in serious denial haha.




The biggest... and probably worst possibility in the near future for me is that we might have to move, AGAIN (i moved last year in sept, and 2 years before that too) and that seriously sucks, but we're not really able to afford the mortgage right now so..
OTL i guess i'll just have to deal with it.

anyways.
